Ravanio is provided by Rouyah Pharma Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 09778487). For the limited personal data described in this policy, Rouyah Pharma Limited is the data controller under UK data protection law, and is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Ravanio is designed so that your health information stays on your iPhone. Everything you log — meals, water, weight, measurements, mood, sleep, progress photos, GLP-1 doses, symptoms and check-ins — is stored locally on your device. Ravanio has no user accounts and no server of its own. We cannot see, access, upload, sell or share the information you record.
Because your records never leave your device, we process very little personal data. When you search the food database or scan a barcode, your search text or barcode number is sent to nutrition databases to fetch results (legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing the feature you asked for). When you subscribe, Apple processes the purchase and gives us no payment details or identity information. Your health entries themselves are stored and processed only on your device; where a feature reads health information with your permission (such as Apple Health), that happens with your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
With your permission, Ravanio reads data from Apple Health (such as steps, active energy, exercise minutes, height, weight and sleep) to personalise your dashboard. This data is handled on-device under Apple's HealthKit rules and is never sent to us or to any third party. You can review or withdraw Health access at any time in the Health app or iOS Settings.
Food lookups are answered by USDA FoodData Central (based in the United States) and Open Food Facts (based in France). Only the search text or barcode number is sent — no name, account or health information travels with the request. As with any internet request, those services technically receive your device's IP address in order to reply.
The camera is used to scan barcodes and take progress photos, and the microphone with speech recognition lets you log food by voice. Photos you take are saved to your device; voice input is converted to text and the audio is not retained.
Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple through your App Store account. We never receive your payment details.
Ravanio contains no advertising, no third-party analytics and no trackers. We do not build profiles, and we never sell or share data with data brokers.
UK data protection law gives you rights over your personal data, including the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Because your records are stored only on your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly: view and edit anything in the app, export your data from Settings, and erase everything by signing out or deleting the app. For anything else, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Ravanio supports adults managing their wellbeing and GLP-1 medication and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Your data stays on your device for as long as you keep it. Signing out from Settings permanently erases all Ravanio data from the device, and deleting the app removes everything as well. We hold no copy.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update it in the app and revise the date at the top.
